As much as we obsess over our screens and cameras for exceptional image quality, how the world sounds is equally important. That’s why we decided to invest in a Sonos sound system for our home. That’s why I love my HyperX Cloud Revolver headset. With plans for an upcoming trip coming together, we figured it’s time for the preschooler to have some headphones of her own. Here’s our first look at the LilGadgets Connect+ premium headphones for kids.

You may recall that one of the questions in last week’s vlog was about the last time we went on vacation. It’s been about a year since we were eating tacos in Los Cabos, so we’re planning another trip for a couple months from now. In planning for this getaway, now that Addie is a little older, we figured it was a good idea to get her some travel headphones.

I know. You’re supposed to limit screen time for small children (and I’m such a bad dad about it), but trying to survive the airport and long flights with a hyperactive “threenager” is an incredible challenge. And we need all the tools we can muster.

Early impressions of these headphones are generally pretty positive. The LilGadgets Connect+ Premium headphones for kids feel like they are made from good quality plastic. (But it’s still plastic.) I like how it features a kid-friendly design without going way over the top, and the SharePort is definitely an added bonus. Padding is substantial and volume is limited to 93dB from the 40mm drivers.

Most importantly, she seems to like them.

The LilGadgets Connect+ Premium Wired Headphones for Kids sell on Amazon.com for $17.95 US and on Amazon.ca for $25.95 Canadian. As mentioned in the video, in addition to the purple version shown, it’s also available in pink, green, blue or black. Do your kids have their own headphones too?
