Hey look! I have an all-electric Porsche sports car. Dare to dream, my friends. Dare to dream. I mean, let’s not get too caught on the fact that this Porsche Mission E is just a toy, because sports cars are toys too, right? In this case, the Porsche really belongs to Rex Dasher from Playmobil: The Movie. Check out our unboxing video here.

I guess you could say that Rex Dasher is the James Bond types. He’s dashing and debonair, outfitted with fancy gadgets and, well, an electric Porsche. You can “drive” this slick little vehicle using the provided remote control, or you can pair it up with the mobile app.

There is a little bit of adult assembly required, so while this toy is marked for kids 6+, they’ll probably need a little help putting it together. You’ll also need to grab a bunch of AAA batteries. The vehicle itself takes four AAA batteries, and the remote takes another three.

In terms of first impressions, I like how there are multiple speed settings. The fastest setting has a fair bit of pep! There are also working lights, and the Rex Dasher Playmobil figure comes with some small accessories too. Rex Dasher’s Porsche Mission E is available from Toys R Us Canada. The regular MSRP is $74.99 (Canadian), but it’s on sale as of this writing for $55.97. Playmobil: The Movie is now playing in theaters. Check your local listings for the latest showtimes.
