“It’s too sunny for you, go back inside,”
The cheeky four-year-old said cheekily
On the balcony alone, satisfied
I went back inside obediently

Yup, she’s got spunk, and she’s got attitude
Strong willed girls grow up to be strong women
That is not just some other platitude
She stands up for herself, that’s called winning

The sun beams down, the mercury rises
She’s not wrong to say it’s too hot for me
Great advice does come in many sizes
But she also throws shade like an oak tree

So yes, the days are long, the years are short
So yes, just play along, be a good sport
