Some places on my travel bucket list are a little more attainable than others. Making it to Antarctica or the Galapagos Islands is going to be quite a challenge. Even though I’ve always wanted to visit the Oregon Coast, and even though it’s only a few hours’ drive from Vancouver, our spring break road trip was my first time there. And we decided to go ghost hunting…

If I’ve learned anything from our road trip, it’s that there is never enough time. I want to spend more time exploring Portland and all of its quirks. And I want to spend more time relaxing on the Oregon Coast too. We really didn’t get nearly as much beach time as I had hoped we would.

On the bright side, we did get to spend some time checking out the Wreck of the Peter Iredale. It’s the skeleton of a ship that ran ashore over 100 years ago. The beach was super misty, so visibility wasn’t the best, but it was still quite the spectacle. And hunting for apparitions at Battery Russell in Fort Stevens State Park was great too. The Oregon Coast has so many neat spots!

For where we stayed while there, check out my video tours of the Tradewinds Condo Hotel in Seaside, plus the Aloft Portland Airport in Portland. And then there’s the video from our visit to the Oregon Zoo too. That one has a train. I mean, who doesn’t love zoo trains, right?

It feels like we just got back and I’m already itching for the next adventure. Where should we go next?
