Okay, so the contest to win a free t-shirt from 1234 Pens didn’t go quite as well as I had hoped, but I am never one to back down from my word. After all, a promise is a promise.

Considering that there were only three entries, each participant has an exceptionally good chance at getting their hands on a free shirt to wear this summer. I decided to have a little fun and shoot a short video of me selecting the winner of the first ever Beyond the Rhetoric contest.

So, without further ado, let’s find out who the lucky winner is.

Congratulations Oubipaws! Please email me with your mailing address and such so that I know where to send the tee. I’m sure Tejpal at 1234 Pens would appreciate a post on your blog linking back to his promotional pens company, but it’s completely up to you whether you want to do that or not. On a side note, if I don’t hear from you within the next week or so, I’ll have to pass on the winnings to someone else. (You should set up a contact form or something on your blog.)

I’d like to also thank Jason (aka Foximus, aka one of May’s top commentators) and Michael McKinlay (courtesy of Spud Oregon) for entering.

Maybe I need to offer a better prize. Anyone interested in a USB TV tuner or a mobile PDF scanner?
