Happy New Year, German Style

Happy New Year ! 2013

As cliche as it may sound, it is really amazing how time flies. 2012 has officially drawn to a close and now we are here at the beginning of a new year. Perhaps you are filled with new hope and new aspirations. Hopefully you’re able to take a break today to reflect on the year that was and to set goals for the year ahead. I know that’s what I’m doing.

I first learned about Die Toten Hosen via Guitar Hero, and although I don’t really understand German, I really liked “Hier Kommt Alex” for some reason. In any case, here are Die Toten Hosen offering their rendition of the classic “Auld Lang Syne” with a big of an 80s rock twist. The song itself starts at about the 0:42 mark.

    Looks like it was great fun, I wasn’t able to hold out till midnight, first time in quite awhile that has happened. I wish you great success in the new year.

    New Years for me has become a family thing. Our soon to be 8 year old stayed up till midnight, but the 3 year old conked out with me watching Doc McStuffins around 11pm.

    I kinda miss that extra going out fun.
