My Wedding

October 3rd, 2011 by Michael Kwan

Susanne and Michael (by Mananetwork)

In case you weren’t following along on Twitter or you didn’t see yesterday’s blog post, I got married over the weekend.

The photos are currently being processed by my photographer, but he has a few up on his site already. If you’re in the Vancouver area and looking for a photographer for your wedding or other event, make sure you give Tomasz Wagner (“Mananetwork”) a call. He does great work. The picture above is one that we took while in Gastown, in between the ceremony and the reception dinner. The alley didn’t smell very good, as you can probably imagine, but it made for some really interesting photos!

I also enlisted the help of Corbin Tomkinson from Solid State Pictures to shoot some video of our wedding day. You might recognize some of the work that he has already done with Futurelooks and MEGATechNews, like that awesome Ford Focus Challenge video. I’m not sure when that video will be edited and ready to go, but I’m sure it’ll be stellar. On a related note, I want to thank Ford Canada for providing us with the 2012 Ford Explorer XLT (in white) as our wedding vehicle.

There was no Dot Com Pho on Saturday, but John Chow decided to shoot a DCP video of my wedding anyhow. Check it out here.

They say that behind every great man is an even greater woman. I’m very thankful and lucky to have such a wonderful life partner and now I can call her my wife.

I want to thank everyone who attended the ceremony and/or the reception, as well as all the wonderful thank yous and well wishes that I received via Facebook, Twitter, and email during and after that day. I may not have responded to you directly, but I did read all of them. Thanks again. Here’s to a new chapter.
