The Top Thinkers of Beyond the Rhetoric

Every month, I try to a quick roundup for the people who posted the most comments in the preceding month. Somewhat not surprisingly, the names hitting the top of the list for July 2011 look pretty familiar. Let’s see what’s going on with their own respective sites.

Ray Ebersole sits at the top of his heap. You might know him from his Edutechation blog, but you should definitely check out his Diabetics Life blog too. He recently wrote on how more exercise and fewer hot dogs are probably a good idea. I’m guessing that’s true for non-diabetics too!

Betshopboy is next and you might associate him with the various marathons that he does. Believe it or not, he has other interests too. Check out several photos he took in India using his iPhone. It just goes to show you that the best camera is the one that you have with you. The equipment can only do so much; the creativity is up to you!

Used Tires reminds us that one of the best ways to stay environmentally friendly is to reuse first, rather than trying to reduce or recycle. That said, what should you know about used tires in the rain? After all, they’ll have less tread than new tires, but does that mean that they’re necessarily unsafe?

Sourish is the chap behind the iPhone 4 jailbreak blog, which also covers a series of other iPhone problems. I notice that the site has since expanded to a Q&A style forum too, discussing such topics as how to upgrade the iOS version after you’ve already performed the jailbreak.

Colocation rounds out the top five for July. The site helps you do some comparison shopping for colocation hosting, but there are useful articles on the subject too. You can read up on how colocation services protect your company, for instance.
