What’s Up Wednesdays: Lattes and Donkeys

If you are reading this post on your own computer, you’re probably “better off than 99% of all humans who have ever lived.” It’s true. From reduced cell phone coverage to an oyster shortage, these are minor quibbles in the grand scheme of things.
Yuliya Talmazan is absolutely sick to her stomach over the parasailing donkey used by a Russian company to advertise its services. The marketing stunt put the poor animal in a lot of distress and Yuliya describes the act as “disgraceful and cruel.” If this is what was made popular on YouTube, what else is happening inside Russia’s borders?
Damien Riley went out to enjoy one of the more popular summer movies, letting us know what he thought of Despicable Me. He recommends the film to families and people who want more than just pretty pictures with their animated movies. Voice acting was good and, well, it’s so fluffy.
Jeff Cutler covers all sorts of events and products. I met him in real life for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show, for instance. Taking on a completely different task, he’s currently covering the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, New Orleans (and the surrounding area) has been hit pretty hard.
