Dot Com Pho Reunion

August 3rd, 2008 by Michael Kwan

For whatever reason, there has been a bit of a spat among the Dot Com Pho members these past three weeks, resulting in a strange split between the camps led by John Chow and Stephen Fung. During that time, some of us got to enjoy the happiest pho on Earth, but it’s just not the same when you know that there’s still a conflict underneath.

That’s why I was so glad that everyone was able to mend their differences this week so that we could all get together for the reunion edition of Dot Com Pho. Along with some of the regulars — like Greg Morgan and iPhone Gary — we were also joined by birthday boy Qasim Rasi, Hong Kong’s own Carl Nelson, and video marketing queen Maria Andros. Yes, Qasim decided to celebrate his birthday with us. How special.

For this week’s noodle lunch, we went to Pho Richmond, located in Continental Plaza in Richmond. John has been raving about the AAA beef at this location and while I will admit that the beef is a grade or two better than most other pho places, the soup base had too much MSG for my tastes. Check out the video below, as produced by Stephen Fung, and we’ll see you all next week at Congee Noodle House in Vancouver.
