Blogging Tips with Bonus Link Love

July 24th, 2007 by Michael Kwan

There a lot of these linky-love memes going around and I’ll admit that I’ve participated in more than a couple of them. Most of these are designed largely to help you improve your Technorati rankings, your Google PageRank, and other things that determine how important your blog is to the rest of world. This meme — I got tagged by Derek Semmler and Bob Buskirk — is a little different.

In addition to helping everyone involved get a little extra exposure in the every growing world of blogging, it is also designed to help all of us become better bloggers. Share your expertise, share a little link love, and keep reading for the full instructions below.

-Start Copy-
It’s very simple. When this is passed on to you, copy the whole thing, skim the list and put a * star beside those that you like. (Check out especially the * starred ones.)

Add the next number (1. 2. 3. 4. 5., etc.) and write your own blogging tip for other bloggers.

Try to make your tip general.

After that, tag 10 other people. Link love some friends!

Just think – if 10 people start this, the 10 people pass it onto another 10 people, you have 100 links already!

Now, I need to tag ten other bloggers who I feel will contribute positively to this ongoing list. C’mon guys, show them what you’re made of!

You’ve been tagged. Keep this meme alive!

Michael, thanks for participating! You’re absolutely correct that you need to have a passion for the topics you write on otherwise it makes it very difficult to create quality content.

    10. Thanks for the tag. I try to avoid link trains and other methods to artificially inflate my Technorati rank; I prefer to concentrate solely on using my time to write articles.

Therefore I won’t be getting involved in this, but I wish you luck and hope it meets your goals. Keep up the good work here!
