What is Dragon Mail?

July 19th, 2007 by Michael Kwan

So, I logged into my Google Analytics account this morning to check on where my traffic is coming from, how things are going in terms of visitors, and so forth. When I checked the “top content”, which shows which pages have been getting the most views, everything seemed to be pretty normal with my Chris Benoit and Richmond Night Market posts being at the top. I know that I rank near the top in Google for “Chris Benwa” (people don’t know how to spell) and for “Richmond Night Market”, so that makes sense.

But check out #5. What’s up with that? (This is based on the past 5 days or so.)

What exactly is “login=dragon”? Am I being hacked? When I looked at the traffic sources, “dragon-mail.net” came up as one of the top results. It seems to be some sort of French website. My French is a little rusty, but it seems that their tagline is “win for reading your mail, clicking, and writing.”

On a side note, check out what’s happening with traffic these past few days (based on Alexa). The other lines are the blogs of Ed Lau and Stephen Fung.

Weird. At least it’s giving you traffic

Weird. Don’t see why anyone would do that. Login isn’t even a parameter wordpress uses as far as I know.

And that dragon-mail thing sounds shady!

Dragon Mail… Hmm… Sounds like it came from RevScene or something

So you downloaded the ALEXA toolbar for Firefox to blow up those stats? ;)

    4. Always nice to see an increase in stats… even if it is Alexa!

    5. Really weird :) Also, Google really behaving strange – some sites dont even score #1 for their domain name…
