BN3TH Apparel: Underwear That Fits [REVIEW]

See, I told you I’m a fashion blogger now! It may have started with wallets and shoes, but I never thought it would progress to a career as an underwear model quite so soon! All kidding aside, we don’t really talk about men’s underwear as a general topic of conversation, like, ever. It’s so personal and, at the same time, most men view their underwear as largely utilitarian. As long as it does the job, right? Until you try something that’s actually better.

Promising “radically better underwear,” BN3TH reminds us that “it’s what beneath that counts.” And it’s true. Unless you plan on going commando, regardless of what you’re wearing on top, your undergarments are a constant. Does better underwear really make that much of a difference? And is it really that much better? Let’s find out.

An Introduction to BN3TH Apparel

I shared this video to my YouTube channel (and across social media) late last week. In case you missed it, here it is again. In the video, I provide a quick overview of BN3TH Apparel and the generous “care package” they sent me. Don’t worry. I kept it “brief.”

Without going too far into personal details here, I’m not normally one for especially elaborate patterns or bold prints on my undergarments. Or on my outer garments, for that matter. If you’d prefer something a little tamer, BN3TH Apparel offers men’s underwear in simpler geometric patterns and solid colors too. I will admit that these designs are growing on me, though.

Tencel Modal Is So Comfortable!

So, the first thing that struck me about the BN3TH Classic Boxer Brief is the material. Tencel Modal is derived from natural fibers, providing a number of benefits to wearers. You could say it’s like silk, except it’s also stretchy. This means that it’s really comfortable, for starters, and I appreciate that it is both breathable and naturally cooling.

The boxer briefs have a 6.5″ inseam. The stretchiness of the material means that it stays put on your thighs without bunching. At the same time, it doesn’t feel “restrictive” at all either. I know that with the elastic portion on some cotton boxer briefs, the “edge” can be a little irritating. That’s not at all the case here.

You’ll also notice the slightly wider waistband. Again, this helps with keeping the underwear in place without unnecessary shifting or adjustment. I was originally concerned that the large (meant for 34-36 inch waists) was going to be a bit loose on me (I’m more of a 33 or so). Not so! Then again, maybe I’ve indulged in a few more late night snacks during these weeks and months under lockdown.

All this time, I’ve generally gone with 100% cotton whenever possible. Now that I’ve tried out these BN3TH Classics with Tencel Modal, I may never go back to cotton!

BN3TH MyPakage Pouch Technology

To say this is a sensitive topic may be an understatement. At the same time, we could all use a little extra “support,” right? Without getting into graphic detail, it’s fair to say that most boxer briefs don’t exactly give much room “down there.” So, parts can feel restricted or confined. Conversely, most boxers provide a little too much “freedom” and not enough “support.” There has to be a better way?

That’s why BN3TH came up with what it calls “MyPakage Pouch Technology.” Basically, you get a little “pocket” in the front. Sure, it may seem a little weird at first glance. But, it also makes so much sense! The net result is the best of both worlds: the support you need without feeling “cramped.”

For this review, i was sent three pairs of the BN3TH Classic Boxer Briefs, along with the pair of pajama pants (which are also very comfortable… and unisex to boot). As comfortable and supportive as these boxer briefs were, the lack of a fly can be a bit of an inconvenience. Thankfully, BN3TH also offers boxer briefs that combine MyPakage Pouch Technology with a functional fly.

Radically Better Underwear

I’ll admit that I was skeptical at first. Like so many men, I’ve never given my underwear much thought. Good enough is good enough. But, it really is true that BN3TH underwear is “radically better.” I like the material, and I appreciate the comfort of the MyPakage Pouch Technology. To be fair, I haven’t tried some of the other brands that have popped up in recent years, so I can’t really speak to that. For my part, though, BN3TH gets my seal of approval.
