Since the beginning, going all the way back to 2006, this blog has been about honesty and transparency. It’s been about cutting through noise and going “beyond the rhetoric.” In that spirit, I decided to do another Q&A video. To the best of my recollection, it’s been a hot minute since I last did an ask me anything (AMA) video, so here we are. But, before we get to the questions… sakura season has arrived in Vancouver! The plum blossoms and cherry blossoms have adorned the city in pink hues, and that’s how we’re going to start.
Certainly, everyone’s lives have changed significantly these last few weeks. In case you missed it, I recently discussed how we’ve been coping with self-isolation and social distancing. So, go check that out if you haven’t already. Unsurprisingly, at least my experience with being “trapped at home” hasn’t really been all that different. I’ve been working from home for years. But, it is challenging when we can’t go out and socialize with friends and family IRL.
But, we’ve got Animal Crossing. And we’ve been able to start enjoying the beautiful plum blossoms and cherry blossoms. I was going to add “around the city” to that last sentence, but that’s not really true. We haven’t been going anywhere “around the city.” It’s more like “around my neighborhood,” as I’ve been trying to keep up with my daily step goal while keeping my distance. Living in suburbia has its perks, I guess.
Did you miss my call-out on social media for questions? The comment section is open below if you have anything you’d like to ask. Let’s connect! Digitally… because we can get through this uncertain time together, so long as we stay physically apart. And, like a Lannister, we always pay our debts (to Tom Nook).
I had to go back to watch this again with the boys and noticed the “Pardon the old man noises” comment. Michael, you are what in your 30’s? Wait until you get to 60 my friend, The noises I make are interesting to be sure. 🙂
