Despite the impression I may have left with last week’s vlog, adulting isn’t all bad. In fact, it can be filled with all sorts of precious moments with your kids, as was the case with our whirlwind journey through the increasingly impressive Healthy Family Expo yesterday. There was so much to see and do (and eat).
I almost feel like Addie is growing up right alongside the show. We didn’t go their first year, but my daughter has gone to every Healthy Family Expo since she was born! We went in 2015 and in 2016, and now we got to attend the 2017 show with me as a blog ambassador!
This year saw over 200 exhibitors, many of which were offering all sorts of delicious food samples. We particularly enjoyed the spritzers from Black River, the unique “Chomperz” seaweed snacks from SeaSnax, the coffee leaf tea from Wize Monkey, and the gummy bears from Smart Sweet. And the EnviroKidz line from Nature’s Path is always a hit.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park brought along a couple of live owls for photo opportunities. Science World and Vancouver Aquarium were offering learning opportunities. And the Active Kid Zone was keeping all the children super engaged with bike lessons, a tumbling area, giant hamster balls, a climbing wall, trampolines and more. It was truly impressive.
And then there was the opportunity meet with CBC Kids characters like Daniel Tiger. Check out a few more photos below, plus the vlog above. It’s been a great year as a blog ambassador with Healthy Family Expo and I’d enthusiastically welcome the opportunity to join them again for next year’s show.
That was great! It was quite a whirlwind day, nice to see you guys for a few minutes in the chaos lol. It’s such a good event, I think it would do really well as a double day too
