The quote above is from American journalist Helen Rowland. She may have been right, but this is not a goodbye. It’s a thank you.

Thank you for all the sacrifices and hardships you endured to give your family everything that you could. Thank you for loving us unconditionally, even when my brother and I weren’t exactly the best of sons. And thank you for all the incredible memories that we will surely cherish forever.

I love you. We’ll miss you, dad.
