This month has gone by so quickly! It feels like only yesterday that I was highlighting the top thinkers of October and here we are looking at the folks who left the most comments in November. Let’s get down to it.
Unsurprisingly, we start at the top of the heap with one Ray Ebersole. I know that he’s been very busy with life, but he did put up a new blog post recently on the meaning of Thanksgiving. It’s far too easy to get caught up in the madness of Black Friday, but we should not forget about the importance of having that day of rest with loved ones. If you’re reading this post, it means you have access to the Internet and you likely have a lot to be thankful for already.
Next up, we have Betshopboy continuing with his marathon running ways. Back in early October, he participated in the North Face 100 as part of the Asia Pacific Series. Running in the 50km category of the mostly flat trail race, he got started at 5:30am on a Saturday morning, finishing in just a little over six hours. That put him in the top fifth of participants.
Also making this cut for November was Jim. He hasn’t updated his Zagorath blog in a few months, but one of his most popular posts from his archives was from the Ho Chi Minh City ballet symphony orchestra and opera. Given the musical theme of his blog, this kind of post makes sense, and he particularly enjoyed the performance of the 1812 Overture. I’m not much of a classical music buff, so I’ll take his word for it.
Rounding out the list of the top five thinkers were Maybelle and Don K., neither of whom provided a blog URL with their comments, so I can’t link out to them. Thanks for participating in the conversation!
Thanks Michael, I am getting around to having a few more hours free, so I hope to be able to write a post more frequently.
A few years ago I did a test and blogged daily, sometimes 2 times a day. When I did I was getting upwards of 200 hits a day and had the best year my blog has ever had. When I got busy and stopped blogging at that rate it dropped steadily until I now have 20 hits at a peak everyday.
If you post they will come. IF you put the effort in they will come. If you put in the effort marketing you can make money from a blog or really anything you want if you try.
Thanks Michael!
The North Face 100 (Singapore) was the best local race that I’ve participated in 2013. It has a challenging route, an immaculate pre and post race organization, and the design of the event tee was the best in my humble opinion.
