It’s hard to believe that another month has already gone by! Well, we still have one more day to go, but that’s pretty much the end of June. That means it’s time once again to take a look at the top thinkers on Beyond the Rhetoric. These are the folks who posted the greatest number of comments in the preceding month and, as you’ll notice, this cohort is looking mighty familiar.
A good friend tried and true, Ray Ebersole has the most comments in June. Over in his neck of the Internet woods, he has launched a new blog called Diabetics Life. As you can likely surmise, the new site aims to document his journey with diabetes, as well as provide useful information for other people who have the condition.
Sourish from Iphone 4 Jailbreak writes mostly about how to jailbreak the iPhone, of course, but there are also tutorials for other iHacks. For instance, you can learn how to install iOS 5 without a developer’s account. It is still very much a beta release, so you are cautioned to proceed at your own risk and discretion.
Over on the other side of the ocean, Betshopboy has been keeping pretty busy. He recently enjoyed a brief vacation at Sunway Lagoon, but he is always training for more marathons. In May, he participated in Passion Run 2011. The 25km dusk run took our intrepid health nut an impressive two hours and 20 minutes. For his efforts, he was rewarded with a a finisher medal, finisher tee, and race singlet.
The unknown blogger behind the Used tires blog makes the cut once more for Beyond the Rhetoric’s top thinkers. While the site focuses more on how to acquire used tires and how they can be reused, there is still the need for proper used tire disposal when they are no longer useful or viable. Leaving them at the city dump is not the right way to go about getting rid of your old car tires!
Last and certainly not least, we have Colocation rounding out the list. The site reviews and compares various colocation hosting providers, but you might want to know about the benefits of colocation web hosting in the first place. Security, flexibility, and expense are certainly something worth considering when taking the leap from the cheaper shared hosting solutions.
Thanks Michael, I appreciate the plug for the new blog. I want to share my struggles with others that have diabetes and those who may be at risk because a lot of us don’t know that we have diabetes or that we are not the only one struggling to control it.
I changed the website in in my comments here today and will go back and forth between the two blogs as I feel the need. Thanks for having a great blog to read and talk.
Thanks for the shout out!
There’s absolutely no way that I’m a health nut. I have my fair share of junk food, sometimes too much!
I wish I had your will power for exercise, and running. Plus I wish I was a thin as you.
One doesn’t have to be thin or run long distances to have a healthy body and mind. As long as we do everything in moderation, we can lead a healthy lifestyle.
You of all people should know this.
No, but if you have been reading my blog, I have been having a problem with my Diabetes. The medicine that the doctor gives me makes me keep weight on unless I exercise like a mad man. I do not have the time for that or the inclination for that amount of exercise at 51 years old. When I was a teen and early 20’s playing regular sports and competing that was different, I enjoyed it.
I have lost 5 pounds in the last week since my doctors appointment to weigh in today at 207.5, but for my diease, heght and body type I need to weigh 170-175 if not 165. So, having the will power to do it now, to have the thin body that will help my condition isn’t a pipe dream to have a healthy mind. It’s to live long enough to see my kids grow up past the age of 15.
Please excuse the typo’s for disease and height
