I like free stuff, so I made the assumption that readers of Beyond the Rhetoric also like free stuff. I think that’s a fair assumption to make and that’s why I launched the CES 2011 swag bag giveaway contest early last month.
And now it’s time to pick the winners.
Quick Contest Recap
Understandably, not everyone has the opportunity to attend massive trade shows like the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. So, it made sense to share the swag I received at the show with my readers. To do that, I hosted the contest, encouraging you to like my Facebook page.
And it looks like the contest turned out to be a pretty good success.
Before I launched the CES swag giveaway, the Beyond the Rhetoric Facebook page had 187 “likes” on it. As I took that screenshot last night, it was creeping toward 300 “likes.” That’s an increase of over 100! I’m pretty happy with that and that’s why I’m more than happy to give away this cool stuff as a thank you.
Winner of Prize Pack #1
The first prize pack, as you may recall, consisted of a t-shirt, a canvas bag, a solar charger, an iPad stylus, and two USB flash drives.
To pick the winner, I used a random number generator. Congratulations goes out to Melissa J. Rios-Zimmerman! I will be contacting you shortly to get your shipping information. Alternatively, you can use the contact form on this blog to send that along too.
Winner of Prize Pack #2
In order to “unlock” the second prize pack, I said that we had to get over 250 “likes” on the BTR Facebook page. We did that.
As a quick reminder, the second prize pack includes a carrying case, t-shirt, portable charger, two USB flash drives, and a glow-in-the-dark necklace.
Congratulations goes to Darrell Waites. As with the first prize pack winner, I’ll be contacting you shortly for shipping info or you can use the contact form to send me your mailing address too.
Thanks for “Liking” Beyond the Rhetoric
I really enjoy running contests on this blog, so you can certainly expect more giveaways to happen in the future. Be sure to like the Facebook page and follow me on Twitter too, as I may have some random giveaways through those channels too.
Thanks again and I look forward to your continued readership and support. π
Noo! I have yet to win anything from your blog, congrats to the winners! Can’t wait till the next giveaway.
Btw, what’s the link to the number generator? I might need it when I run a contest.
I use Random.org.
I use Random.org to create new customer numbers. Nice to have so that I didn’t start at 1 and work my way up.
Congratulations to the winners, these are some great prizes. I hope to be involved in the next contest you have Michael.
