Albert Einstein by Petr Kratochvil

Before we get down to the usual Wednesday speedlink, I just want to throw out a quick reminder that there are only a few days left in my CES swag giveaway. Make sure you get in your entries before the end of the month if you want to be eligible to win one of the two prize packs. I’ve got t-shirts, flash drives, a solar charger, and all sorts of other cool stuff to give away.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at what the blogosphere had to say this week.

Ray Ebersole starts us off with a simple, but poignant lesson. He describes himself as a knowledge hog, because he is constantly learning all sorts of things, finding a lot of answers to things that might come in handy down the road. Never stop learning!

Bonnie Sainsbury of Left Brain Media provides an extensive primer on Twitter. If you’re thinking about adding Twitter to your business mix, but have no idea what it is or how to use it, Bonnie’s beginner’s guide is a must-read. This Twitter glossary is pretty useful too.

Ed Lau might be best known for his many appearances in the Dot Com Pho videos, but he’s pretty active when it comes to reviewing things too. Check out his opinion of 127 Hours, the “gut-wrenching” movie starring James Franco. It’s nominated for the Best Picture Oscar.

Derek Semmler has 20 words you must read now. It’s another one of those things that sounds obvious, but it really isn’t: “It takes the same amount of work to build an unsuccessful business as it does to build a successful business.” Are you just going through the motions or are you actually doing something useful?

Wil Wheaton makes a celebrity cameo in this week’s speedlink. He has a sizable “geek” following, but he’s going out there to say that technology makes you stupid. These modern conveniences are supposed to make us more efficient, but do they really? Are we failing to see the obvious?
