As you may have heard, I spent most of last week on a Nokia-branded RV as part of the Nokia N97 mini tour. We cruised our way from Vancouver to Calgary, hitting up all sorts of touristy hot spots along the way. Hanging out with my RV blogging buddies, we paid a visit to Salmon Arm, Emerald Lake, Banff, and the Calgary Stampede, among other places.
A lot of fun was had by all as we slowly trekked our way across the Rockies, learning the ins and outs of the Nokia N97 mini smartphone along the way. We were tweeting from Gravity, streaming from Qik, using the messaging utility, snapping photos with the 5MP camera, and more. We even used the Food Network Canada app to look up recipes for our Banff barbecue, as well as the Sports Tracker app to record our hike through the woods.
I’ve been doing a lot of traveling these last few weeks, but it has largely been via airplane. It was certainly interesting to take the more leisurely RV approach to being on the road, but it was still a very busy time, especially since we wanted to accomplish so much.
I’ve embedded a few pics from my Flickr photostream below, but you can find even more by checking the N97minitour tag in that stream. Be sure to check out April’s videos, John’s photos, Daniel’s tests and Tom’s tweets while you’re at it. I’ll have a brief review of the phone itself tomorrow.
