That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. It’s time for another thrilling contest on Beyond the Rhetoric and it’s just in time for you to go back to school in style. Even if you’re not heading back to the classrooms this fall, I’m thinking that most of you wouldn’t mind picking up some new threads, especially for the price of free. Free stuff is always nice, isn’t it?
What Can I Win?
Up for grabs this time around are a trio of geek chic t-shirts.
The light blue one is from Evil Controllers, a company that customizes controllers for the Xbox 360. They offer upgraded thumb sticks, rapid fire trigger enhancements, LED light mods, and more. The black shirt, which doesn’t look like a shirt in its creative packaging, comes from Western Digital. They do hard drives and related equipment. Finally, the grey shirt is from BFG Tech and they do power supplies, motherboards, and other computer internals.
How Do I Enter?
Just as I did with the Facebook Me Contest and E3 Swag Contest, I’m trying to make this contest as easy to enter as possible. For a chance to win three cool new t-shirts, simply leave a comment on this post stating why you need some new clothes for the back to school season. The most creative response, as decided by me, will be the winner.
If this is your first time commenting on Beyond the Rhetoric, your comment will be held in moderation until I approve it. If you don’t see your comment show up within about a day, drop me a line to let me know.
Although it is not a requirement, I would greatly appreciate any mentions you can make of this contest online. This can be through Facebook, Twitter, or wherever else you choose to be social on the Internet.
What’s the Deadline for Entries?
All entries must be submitted by 11:00am PDT on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. That gives you exactly one week to get in on the action. As mentioned above, people leaving comments for the first time will see their comments held in moderation. So long as the date/time stamp on your comment is before this time, it is a valid entry. I will be announcing the winner the same day.
The Fine Print
I am willing to ship to anywhere in the world, so long as you have reasonable access to a standard postal service. My decision is final and you’ll want to keep an eye on your email inbox, since that’s how I will be contacting the winner to get his or her mailing address.
Good luck!
Okay, a gaggle of girls just walked by the computer lab wearing brand new clothes (or at least that’s what it looked like to me) and here I am with my shoes falling apart on my feet. While I realize this contest is not for shoes, I could use a new tshirt or two to spruce up my closet!
…or a sweater…
I like how you refer to them as a “gaggle.” I feel the love.
Aren’t chicks in a group a “murder” of girls? Or is that just crows?
Depends on what bird you are associating with the girls. It’s a murder of crows and a gaggle of geese. You could also call them a flock of seagulls, I suppose.
@Stephen Crows.
@Michael hahaha yeah. Gaggle of girls. Yeah. That sorta just came out đ
Also, flock of seagulls = great 80’s band.
Because of you guys, I looked it up. It’s technically a “clutch” of chicks, if you want to use the term chicks. If you’re going with chickens, then it would be a brood. This is according to this site.
My BlogHaus shirt is getting worn out! Need new ones! đ
I knew this contest would catch your eye. Hahah.
Is there at least ONE black T-Shirt? Can’t break his streak đ
The WD shirt is black. đ
After putting up with all of your bad egg puns on twitter, I more than deserve a shirt, man!
My current tshirt collection has become quite drab over the years. I’ve worn the same shirts for so long, that I am now considering wearing the same shirt, for the third year in a row, for my school photo. Some new tshirts would bring something new to my wardrobe… and maybe my school photo (I suppose that mohawk could do that as well, but I think I’ll go for something more subtle).
I still vote mohawk.
How about this, my wife’s just had twins, and I’ll use one of the Shirts in a DIY to make a baby tent for them to play in, while any other ones will spruce up my wardrobe for work.
Either that, or I’ll use one to dress my dog for Halloween, in an attempt to win another contest!
new clothes for new season.. sure i need it.. i remembered when i was a high school student.. i used to bought more than five new clothes. new season is the right time to impress the babes..lol
I’m not heading back to the classrooms anytime soon but I can go to work in style in these cool t-shirts.
These days all I ever wear are running vests/singlets, I could really use some geek chic t-shirts to spice up my wardrope.
I am based at a Middle School that is in the low income neighborhood. If I win I will be donating my shirt to a needed student at my school.
You may want to rethink that with the BFG Shirt. It has a suggestion of a somewhat inappropriate act on it that would get you banned in the school yard. I guess Michael never looked at it.
Let’s just say, it would be something Kwan would charge $40 for đ
As you can see in the picture, the BFG shirt is still in the plastic wrap, so no, I haven’t seen what’s on the back yet.
Well, if I win it and it is inappropriate I will then buy another more appropriate one and donate that one. I’m still going to donate a shirt if I win no matter if I have to purchase a different one.
Looks like a fun contest.
They sell shirts still that get you banned at school?
I want new T-Shirt so that I can cash in my old t-shirt at e-bay đ
