Don’t let that babyface fool you. Michael Cera’s got himself quite the temper.
I’m not entirely sure what to think about the legitimacy of this video or whether the whole thing was staged as a parody of Christian Bale’s recent debacle on the set of Terminator Salvation. You can watch the clip below and decide for yourself. In it, we see Michael Cera “flip out” on the set of Youth in Revolt, losing his patience with the “amateur” crew who are working there.
You may remember Michael Cera from Juno or Superbad. In both films, he comes off as sweet, sensitive, and innocent. Who knew that he could actually get angry? What do you think? Is this video for real or is it just a spoof?
Oh, and I should note that the video isn’t exactly safe for work due to some “colorful” language on the part of Cera. Even so, it’s kind of hard to take him seriously.
He did a video like this on the Knocked Up DVD. The premise is that he was up for that role and he was filming a scene with Katharine Heigl and he flips out.
LOL..actors..They think they can do what they want without any repercussions.
Just another spoof of the Christian Bale freak out.
It looks like a spoof to me, but you can’t be totally sure. Actors will do anything to get a headline.
It was definitely a spoof. I saw Michael interviewed on a talk show today and he said it was to spoof Christian Bale.
yep it was staged, saw this a few days ago
I think you’ll be seeing more actors pulling these out in a few weeks and cashing in.
That mean he is trully a good actor 🙂 …
Not all good actors flip out… well, except for Michael Richards, Alec Baldwin and Mel Gibson. Actually, maybe flipping out is a trait of those who are gifted. lol
For anyone interested, Family Guy took the Christian Bale audio and put it into an episode featuring Peter. The whole thing airs Feb. 15.

That was too good Chris!
Yeah, I really lost it when I saw this. This was probably the funniest bit Family Guy has done in a long time.
