There’s a fine line between ambition and greed, but I think we’d all agree that life is just a little more desirable when you have some extra cash. How you decide to spend all that money is entirely up to you, but what I’m going to do with this edition of What’s Up Wednesdays is dedicate it to the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Enjoy!
To start things off, we have super affiliate Zac Johnson. He’s a guy that specializes in affiliate marketing, so he knows a thing or two about differentiating between good and bad landing pages. If you want to make money with affiliate marketing, you’ll want to pay attention to his advice.
One way to make money online is through blogging. Darren Rowse, who most of you may know as Problogger, happens to make quite the living from that endeavor, but he also recognizes that there are other motivations for blogging as well. Why do we blog? My response can be found in that post. Just look for Rodin’s Thinker.
You probably won’t get it unless you ask for it. Free Money Finance talks about how to demonstrate that you deserve a raise. What’s the best way to approach your boss and ask for more money? Demonstrate to him that you’re worth it, show him that you’re currently being underpaid, and negotiate in good faith.
For many people, making money starts with good ergonomics. Now that Tyler Ingram is telecommuting three days a week, he’s working a little harder on developing a proper home office. His desk sure looks tidier than mine, but I have a feeling that it’s not going to stay that way for long.
Making money is all well and good, but you also have to know how to save it. Etienne Teo is feeling the effects of the falling world economy, so he’s made an effort to solve his own credit crisis. Personally, I refuse to get any credit card that carries an annual fee. How else do I cut down on my spending? It’s hard as it may be, the first area to see cuts is always food and entertainment. Video games and gadgets play second fiddle to electricity and hot water, I’m afraid.
Hey good answer to the question (I clicked to and scrolled till I found it)
As far as video games playing second fiddle to electricity, I have heard more than one story about someone’s electricity being shut off because they elected to pay the cable bill instead of the electric bill…figure that one out!
