The Dot Com Pho phenomenon is taking the world by storm. Everyone is getting more and more interested in our weekly lunch gatherings, because we exchange all sorts of useful tips about making money online… it just happens that our discussions get side-tracked into other areas pretty easily. You know, like the Flip Flap from Gigabyte (it’s actually made by Tomy).
Everyone from the Dot Com Pho crew that went to Taipei for COMPUTEX got hooked up with a Flip Flap. The solar powered plant happily dances under the rays of the sun. Its slow, rhythmic movements are very soothing after a long day of freelance writing and maintaining the lifestyle of a dot com mogul.
For this week’s edition of Dot Com Pho, we have two competing directors. John Chow is normally the one who does the video recording, but Stephen Fung really enjoyed his time in the director’s chair as well. As such, we will have two versions of Dot Com Pho for you this week, much like how we had multiple versions of our experience eating out of a toilet in Taiwan.
Which version do you like better? John’s or Stephen’s? Voice your thoughts though the comment form below.

John Chow’s Dot Com Pho
Stephen Fung’s Dot Com Pho
On a side note, I’d like to mention that this was the virgin Dot Com Pho for Tyler Ingram. Welcome to the family, Tyler. You’re not quite loud enough to replace Ed Lau, though, who will be in Japan for the next three months.
If you ship me one of those Flip Flap maybe I can make some kind of Hollywood movie about my meals. đ Just kidding!
Well, I’m giving it away. You just have to enter…and an iPod nano too…
Could you give me the link to the contest? (Can’t find it.) Thanks!
Here’s the link to Stephen’s contest.
You should enter too! đ
I didn’t know I was eligible. I did comment on your post though. đ
Thanks!
Everyone is eligible as long as they enter properly.
Then I have seven tickets. Looks like my chances are pretty good.
I say combine them to make one epic movie.
RCA = Really Crappy Appliance!
Ah that’s the acronym that i was looking for in regards to RCA! Thanks Shawn!
As for me being quiet, yea I’ll be louder next time!
In the latest episode of Dot Com Pho videos, I feel Stephen’s video seemed slightly off-form compared to his previous.
It could be due to his fiddling in unfamiliar territory with iMovie HD, and at times his video effort came across as trying too hard.
Given time and more practices, I’m sure he will improve on his craft and carve out his unique style.
On another note, the video was titled “Flip Flap edition” but the star of the show only made flipping cameo appearances. It was a pity.
