Under-promise and over-deliver. I’ve understood this sentiment for a very long time and I am also a firm believer in karma. Not in the whole reincarnation sense, but more in the My Name is Earl sense of karma. Do good things for other people and they’ll do good things back. So is the case with Beyond the Rhetoric. Since installing the Top Commentators plug-in, I’m starting to experience a slight increase in the number of comments that this blog receives. Here are a few stories from those comment whores that caught my eye, as well as one from The Root of All Evil John Chow.

  • Lyndonmaxewell loves pets just as much as I do. I have a pet bunny and he has a couple of cockatiels. The difference is, those cockatiels can do tricks. Like, Star Wars-themed tricks.
  • Ajith is a young blogger from the other side of the planet (relative to me) and he’s aspiring to provide us with simple information, making our computing lives easier. Like backing up your registry
  • Gregg is a self-proclaimed amateur geek, but it’s not all megabytes and gigahertz in his world. He goes to engagement parties too.
  • I’ve known Dylan Duarte for some time. He’s a freelance writer like me, but I think he’s funnier than I am. He thinks that Eddie Murphy is funnier than him, though.
  • Stephen Fung refuses to acknowledge that he is a dot com mogul, but he was very happy to serve up a ReviewMe review of Beyond the Rhetoric.
  • John Chow doesn’t comment much on my blog, but he has been very helpful to many bloggers looking to make some money on the web. I went out for Dot Com Dim Sum with him and a bunch of other bloggers. The most notable attendee was Gary of BlueFur, because he picked up the nearly $300 bill. That big furry guy is pretty generous and he offers great web hosting.

Well, there you have it. Be sure to add them to your RSS readers (as well as me, of course). Happy blogging.
