I promised an update for how Roy was doing with his head tilt, and well here it is. As you can see in the video above, he’s recovering remarkably well, considering this is only day three. The doctor gave me 14 days worth of medicine, so if this is any indication of how treatment is going, Roy the bunny is well on his way to a full recovery!
His appetite is great, he seems to have boundless energy, and he’s happily munching away on his pellets again (he didn’t want to eat them when we first diagnosed him with wry neck, only eating timothy hay from time to time). I’m much relieved.
And if you’re wondering, he’s still in love with smushed up banana, so administering his Baytril medication (pill) is no problem whatsoever.

Haha…Bananas are to Roy like mushrooms are to Mario. Power up!
Roy is adorable! Post vids of him eating his banana treat medicine please!
That would be interesting! Include one of his treat in a vid, it would be lovely to watch. What do we call it? Kawaii ne! (cute!)
Ask and ye shall receive. That’ll be my next Roy video then 🙂
Good to see Roy’s feeling better.
I am glad to see that Roy is improving. I just took my bunny home today from the Vets. Chloe, my netherland dwarf, has the same problem…her head is tilted and the Vet believes it is caused from an ear infection. She was prescribed Baytril for 21 days and is eating her hay and veggies now at home. She also loves bananas and I put her medication in it. It’s encouraging to see Roy is doing better and I hope Chloe will get well too. I was very worried about her as she couldn’t keep her balance.
