One of the best ways to keep up with my life is to follow me on Instagram. While I might share links on Twitter or spark conversations on Facebook, Instagram is where I post pictures and videos that offer a glimpse into my daily existence as a work-at-home dad, food lover, and tech blogger. If you haven’t been following along (or even if you have), here are a few highlights from the last few weeks.

It’s probably not going to surprise anyone that being a dad has become a huge part of my life. Balancing the responsibilities of my freelance writing business with the responsibilities as a stay-at-home dad has been quite the challenge, but then I get to enjoy special little moments like these. Moments like these remind me that all of life’s other worries and stresses really don’t matter all that much.

What really boggles my mind is that my daughter will be turning two years old next month. It feels like only yesterday that I held her in my arms for the first time, yet I also can’t imagine what my life would be like today if she wasn’t around. There is nothing more life-changing than becoming a parent and as exhausted, as stressed and as frustrated as I might get, she’s worth it.

There is something to be said about seeking validation through social media. We really shouldn’t care that much how many likes, retweets and comments we get. But we do care. I just never thought that my first Instagram post with over 100 likes would be of my poor painting skills. Maybe I should quit my day job.

Just yesterday, I was invited out by Samsung to check out the new Galaxy Note7, the company’s latest flagship. Reviewing gadgets and technology doesn’t encompass the entirety of my professional life, but it’s always played a rather large role. And getting to play with new phones, tablets and even drones can be a lot of fun.

I like to eat. I like to take pictures of what I eat. I like to write about what I eat. Here’s a shot of the delicious lunch we enjoyed at Sura earlier this week. My guide to eating Korean BBQ will be published on the 365 Days of Dining blog in the coming days, so keep your eyes open for that.

With tongue not exactly planted in cheek, I have told many people that I am fueled by caffeine and Wi-Fi. If I’m going to go home and be a family man, as a certain street fighter once instructed, I may as well enjoy a room temperature cup of java in a cool mug. After I post a picture of said mug on Instagram, of course. Like it?
