Bright Nights in Stanley Park 2015: Christmas Train Video

The ground may be free of snow here in Vancouver, but the spirit of the Christmas season can certainly be felt in the air. Many family-friendly activities can be enjoyed all around town and one of the most treasured traditions for many families is the Christmas Train at Bright Nights in Stanley Park.

We’ve been on this holiday-themed train ride a couple of times before, but this year was the first time that we had Adalynn along for the ride… and I’m sure it won’t be the last time either. As you can imagine, taking in the festivities with a kid in tow is an entirely different experience.

In addition to the train ride itself, Bright Nights in Stanley Park also consists of a whole area decked out in lights for the holiday season. I’ve embedded a video below, along with a few more pictures, from our time at the park earlier this week. Luckily for us, it was neither raining nor windy.

Regular adult tickets for the train are $11, seniors and children 17 and under are $8, and kids 2 and under are free. Matinee tickets are $6 for all ages. Bright Nights in Stanley Park runs daily until January 2, except it is closed on Christmas Day. Donations and a portion of ticket sales are given to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.
