Mother's Day Gift Guide 2015

As hard as it may be to believe, Mother’s Day is just around the corner. That still gives you over a week to get any shopping and pre-ordering done and, given the appropriate options, that’s still enough time to get something shipped. You just need to act quickly.

Some moms may like flowers or chocolate. Other moms may prefer to have the day off to relax. If you’re having a hard time coming up with gift ideas, I’ve gathered up a few items to jump start your thought process. Better still, several of these are currently discounted with savings of up to 59% off. Moms like it when you save money, don’t they?

Contigo AUTOSEAL Travel Mug ($13.70):

A few days ago, I posted a Facebook update stating you know you’re a parent when you make a cup of coffee and you don’t get to drink it for over an hour. Nobody likes room temperature coffee. Help mom keep her hot beverage of choice nice and warm with this, my favorite travel mug. Pair it with a bag of tea leaves or coffee beans and you’re set.

Xiaomi Mi Band ($18.89):

More popular brands like Fitbit and Jawbone sell similar fitness trackers for a lot more money. I reviewed the Mi Band not that long ago and I have to say that it offers incredible bang for the buck. It’s lightweight, comfortable and feature-rich. Yes, it tracks mom’s sleep patterns too.

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker ($31.51, 54% off):

There’s currently a pretty sizable promotion on Amazon where many of the fragrances are on sale. Most mothers won’t be too interested in the more youth-oriented perfumes, so choosing something a little classier and more mature could be appropriate. I don’t know anything about perfume. Just buy what feels right.

Conair Waterfall Foot Spa ($38.82, 35% off):

Tired, achy feet could always use some tender, loving care. A water-based foot spa is still no replacement for an actual foot massage, but it’s still pretty fantastic. This particular model offers heat, lights and bubbles with multiple pedicure attachments and a waterfall feature for the “ultimate relaxation feeling.”

Kindle Fire HD 7 Tablet ($99.00, 29% off):

In terms of sheer value, there are few tablets out there that can compete against the entry-level Kindle Fire range. It taps into the Android ecosystem beautifully for apps, music, movies and books and the Kindle Fire is incredibly well-built given its inexpensive price tag.

Tree of Life Pendant Necklace ($102.44, 59% off):

You don’t have to break the bank to get some nice-looking jewelry. This particular example is on sale for more than half off, giving you a sterling silver chain with a polished pendant of a gold-plated tree and (conflict-free) diamond-studded leaves. For the woman who gave you life (or life to your children), you can give her the tree of life.

Remember, as with all other gift giving occasions, it’s not about how much you spend; it’s the thought that counts. What are you getting the moms in your life for Mother’s Day?
