What I've Been Writing on the Web - Are hybrid cars really a greener option?

Most readers of this blog will likely already know that I make my living as a freelance writer, but they may not know what I write and where I write it. Going through my archives, it appears the last time I highlighted some of my freelance writing work was three years ago. A lot has changed, but a lot has also stayed the same.

For the most part, the bulk of my writing still circles around the world of technology, including gadgets, consumer electronics, social media, and other Internet happenings. There have certainly been projects that depart from this arena, but the tech industry continues to be a major focus.

And so, here are three recent articles I’ve written that you may have seen on the web.

Are hybrid cars really a greener option?
From Green It All

“However, if you are buying a hybrid simply for the savings at the pump, you probably have a better option. Choose a small, fuel-efficient car that uses regular old gas and you’ll likely save more money in the long run. Remember, hybrids still come in at a significant premium over their petrol-only counterparts and it could take you many years to recover that extra money, especially when you factor in the potentially higher maintenance costs. Saving $30 a month in gas will take you 200 months (over 16 years) to recover a $6000 premium.”

Get Distracted Later With Read It Later Pro (Android App)
From Smartlife Blog

“When you come across something that you want to read (or watch) later, all you have to do is hit up the “share” option within the Android app that you are using. The natural application here is with the native web browser, but remember that the “share” feature is also included in Google Reader, Pulse Reader, YouTube, and all sorts of other Android apps. It can even store the content for offline reading later.”

MEGATech Reviews – Samsung Galaxy Note 5.3-Inch Android Superphone
From MEGATechNews

“It’s undeniable that there is a lot to like about the Samsung Galaxy Note. The performance is easily top notch, the 4G LTE support means you’ll get things done faster, and that gorgeous Super AMOLED display is always a marvel for the eyes. You could even argue that the S Pen offers some intrigue and utility. But the size is going to get you. If I can’t use it with one hand, it’s not really a phone.”

In addition to articles like that and the posts I do here on Beyond the Rhetoric, I’ve also taken on ghostwriting projects with a few clients. As they are on a ghostwriting basis, I can’t really link to them here.

While I certainly stay true to myself, I’ve also learned to adapt my voice to suit the platform and the target audience. Versatility is important and I anticipate it will continue to play a prominent role in my freelance career moving forward. And with that, I encourage you to visit my freelance writing business site if you or someone you know happens to be interested in my services. Let’s find success together.
