Preparing for Super Bowl Commercials
February 4th, 2010 by Michael KwanIt is during the Super Bowl that some of the biggest names in their respective industries come forward with new ad campaigns. We’ve seen everything from the Budweiser frogs and the Budweiser horses. I’ll be watching the game, to be sure, but I’ll try to catch some of these new television commercials too.
From what I hear, the price of a 30-second ad spot is slightly lower this year compared to last year. In 2009, a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl fetched about $3 million a piece. This year, it’s expected to be “only” between $2.5 million and $2.8 million. What a bargain!
One of my favorite Super Bowl ads in recent memory has to be the E*TRADE baby. Hilarious. What about you? What’s your favorite?

I always look forward to those ad’s. The Bud Ad’s are always a favorite, but my favorite was the Mr. Potato Head one’s last year.

The old Outpost.com ads were hilarious. I think they first aired during a Super Bowl.
Was the EDS cat herding commercial a Super Bowl commercial? Not sure, but that’s a great one.
