Contest: Free Back to School Wardrobe

Last week, I announced a new contest for a free back to school wardrobe comprised of three geek chic t-shirts. To enter this contest, all you had to do was leave a comment on the contest post saying why you need to get some new clothes for school (or the office).

Before I get to the winner, I’d like to thank everyone who entered. Your comments were fun, insightful, and filled with a “gaggle of girls,” as Lesley Chang put it. I always enjoy running contests and giveaways on this blog, because they’re so much fun for everyone involved. Even if the prize isn’t the most substantial thing in the world, winning contests is a great feeling for me and I’m sure the same applies to you.

So, who won?

After much deliberation, I decided that Mike Hayes provided the most interesting comment on why he needed some new shirts. He said the clothing wouldn’t just be for him; he’d put them on his newborn sons and his pet dog too! Here’s his contest entry, in case you missed it:

“How about this, my wife’s just had twins, and I’ll use one of the Shirts in a DIY to make a baby tent for them to play in, while any other ones will spruce up my wardrobe for work. Either that, or I’ll use one to dress my dog for Halloween, in an attempt to win another contest!”

Congratulations, Mike! Use the contact form to give me your mailing address. I’ll have it shipped out to you as soon as I get this information.

Once again, thank you to everyone who entered. I’ll surely have another contest up on Beyond the Rhetoric some time soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Follow me on Twitter and add me as a friend on Facebook, if you’d like, since I will always mention new contests through those channels.
