I miss the local German restaurant. Didn’t go there too often, but there were things that I liked. It closed about a year ago, maybe longer. It had been around 40+ years.

I miss the great food my Grandmom made in Pa. Scrapple, homemade pies shoo fly and mince meat, fresh summer sausage, homeamde bread and milk from the cow 5 minutes before your drink it.

It’s the same with the German food and parties. All day events with everyone from the community making and bringing something.

Man, now I’m hungry!

You just want to be sure to avoid the rapids that run off a clip, like in one of the Indiana Jones movies where the raft had to become an air glider. I think maybe Mythbusters tried that one.

It seems like TPTB seem determined to beat the Terminator series into the ground, kind of like what happened to Highlander.

White water rafting looks like a lot of fun. I’ve done white water canoeing when I was in the Boy Scouts. The river and rapids were not nearly as rough as you see in most white water rafting though.
