Beyond the Rhetoric

As you may have heard, I was in Los Angeles earlier this month for E3 Expo 2009, the largest video game trade show in North America. It was there that I got to try out the new Sony PSP Go, get a first-hand look at Halo 3: ODST, and play around with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. It’s great to see E3 (almost) return to its former glory. It was also very cool to see the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man outside the Los Angeles Convention Center.

While I was at E3 Expo, I was also able to attain some free stuff and, well, I like giving stuff away. As such, I decided to run a quick contest to give away some of the cooler E3 swag that I managed to get. This included a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wristband, a free copy of Battlefield 1943, and a Video Game Voters Network t-shirt. I also decided to toss in a couple of pens from MichaelKwan.com and DotComPho.com for good measure, even though they’re not depicted in the picture.

So, you’re probably wondering if you won. I plunked all the participants into an Excel spreadsheet, went over to a random number generator online, and selected the winner.
