E3 Expo 2009 - Swag Contest Giveaway!

That’s right! It’s time for another contest on Beyond the Rhetoric. As you may already know, I spent last week in Los Angeles for E3 Expo 2009. This is the biggest video game trade show in North America, highlighting new announcements from companies like Nintendo, Capcom, Square Enix, and Microsoft. It was also there that I saw the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, the Batmobile, and the Ninja Turtles.

I didn’t pick up quite as much cool swag as I was hoping, but I did say that I was going to try and get some stuff to give away on this blog. In earlier contests, I asked you to join my Facebook group or to post a superhuman number of comments. This contest is going to be even easier to enter. First, let’s see what’s up for grabs.

What Can I Win?

As shown above, you can win the following:

  • Marble Saga touque
  • Video Game Voters Network t-shirt (medium)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wristband
  • Free 48 Hour Xbox Live Gold subscription
  • Redemption code for free Battlefield 1943 game on XBLA
  • Special MichaelKwan.com and DotComPho.com pens

Battlefield 1943 is a first-person shooter that is being offered both on Xbox Live Arcade (Xbox 360) and the PlayStation Network (PSN). I have the redemption code to download this $15 game for free on the Xbox when it launches July 1. The 48-hour Xbox Live Gold subscription accompanies that quite nicely. The MichaelKwan.com and DotComPho.com pens are being tossed in from my own collection as a bonus.

How Do I Enter?

Anyone who posts a comment on any post between now and the contest deadline will be entered. You can comment on this post if you’d like, but any other post is also fair game. However, you will only receive one entry, regardless of the number of comments you post. The winner will be selected at random.

Although it’s not at all required to enter the contest, I’d appreciate any publicity you can provide through Twitter, Facebook, and other social media services.

Contest Deadline

Contest entries close this Saturday, June 13th at 9:00am PDT. I will announce the winner the same day. The winner can be from anywhere in the world with reasonable access to a postal service, just as with my other contests in the past.

Good luck!
