Viva La Evolution with Trilobite Clothing

You could say that I have a bit of a t-shirt obsession. This goes well above and beyond the free tees that I sometimes collect from trade shows like E3 Expo and CES, as I have a growing collection of other tees too. Well, I just added another shirt to the batch, courtesy of Trilobite Clothing.

Although I never took that much of an academic interest in science, I do appreciate some of the humor that can be developed from it. For instance, I bought a shirt a while ago that featured a modified version of The Evolution of Man. Instead of standing up straight, the last figure is hovering over a computer keyboard. It’s with a similar sense of humor that Trilobite Clothing was born, producing a series of designs that are based on science but meant to get a chuckle out of you.

Designer Marek Eby (Twitter: @trilobitten) sports a number of designs through his Cafepress-powered shop, but the one that caught my eye had to be the Comrade Velociraptor spouting that old credo of Viva La Evolution. Marek was gracious enough to provide me with a sample for free in exchange for a little press through his blog. He also gave the women’s cephalopod tee to Susanne.

The quality of the shirts is good and they come in a variety of styles and colors. While I like the Viva La Evolution line the most, the main focus of the Trilobite Clothing store is on trilobite-themed humor, much like the web comic that accompanies it. If you’ve got a few moments, check out Trilobite Clothing and tell Marek that I sent you!

Disclaimer: I was not paid for this review, but I did receive the two t-shirts for free. My opinion was not influenced as a result of receiving the two shirts. If you would like to be featured in a similar highlight article on Beyond the Rhetoric, send me a message and we can go from there.
