Excellent post Michael.

If we take responsibility for our actions we can control a lot of what happens in our life. On the other hand we don't control every aspect of life around us, so our success and failure is determined by a combined set of actions our own and the external actions of the world around us.

I believe we can also to some degree control the actions of others by our own words and actions. So, in the long run we have more control over what happens then the external forces, but we never have total control.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If we learn how to control the equal and opposite we can control the battle.

Both physics and "The Art of War!"
