The effects of the Top Thinker Contest are very apparent when you compare February’s comment comment count with that of March. In February, we had two readers who posted in excess of 100 comments each. The level of discussion in March brought us back to a more manageable level.
Following his “Best Thought” victory and his assertion that Beyond the Rhetoric would become one of his regular destinations on the web, Ray Ebersole tops the list for March 2009, submitting a total of 43 comments. Thanks Ray! I hope you are enjoying your free book!
Even though he didn’t have much to say in the second half of the month, betshopboy managed to snag second place with 14 comments. Rounding out the top five are “dcr” Dan Rinnert, Damien Riley, and Dylan Duarte. Thank you all for keeping the discussion alive. This blog wouldn’t be the same without the conversation I have with my readers (and the conversations they have with one another).
Notably missing from the top thinkers list for March 2009 is long-time reigning champion Nick from RomanDock.com. Where did you go, Nick? I hope to hear more from you (and everyone else) in April!
Thanks Michael, I am enjoying the book!
This blog is definitely one of the tops in my RSS feeds. The posts are a mix of thought provoking and lighthearted. It makes for a lot of fun to read and comment.
Your participation is also a major source of enjoyment. Not only do we feel that this is a place to read something, it’s made more personal by you input.
I want to add that someone else is suspiciously absent from the top 5. I won’t mention names, but the regular visitors to Beyond the Rhetoric know who I’m talking about. π
So glad I made the list. When I go through my feed reader, I comment on the stuff that interests me. Yours usually does it!
I’d probably comment more often if I checked my feed reader, where I do have you listed, but I haven’t even fired up the feed reader since, I think, last year!
And I used to be so addicted to the feed reader. Even left it open most of the day so I could check things as they came in.
Then, I joined Twitter…
Thanks for the shoutout!
I’m flying the Asian flag here! Woot!!
Yeah, I slacked off pretty badly in March. Been busy with school, working, and some ham radio related projects. I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things soon, but lately I’ve been reading posts WAY after they’ve been posted and so decided not to comment on them till I got a bit more caught up. Now, as for posting on my own site, well, that’s a different story all together.
