I started when I was 10 watching Graham Kerr "The Galloping Gourmet". My Aunt would take me to get the ingredients from the recipe that I had just watched. We would then cook it for the family. I actually became quite good and at 16 my father told me he would send me to France to go to culinary school if I wanted to. Of course at 16, what kids listens to their parents? Not me, which leaves me as a person that loves to cook, experiment and come up with great food to feed friends and family. I have an album full of recipes that I've created. Maybe I should make a cookbook, now that's an idea! Great post Michael, it got the brain matter thinking. Idea's come from the strangest places.
