I can see plenty of uses for it once the images are uploaded to your computer as far as searching and recalling later. In regards to the smartphone thing, I installed the WP-PDA plugin some time ago (the same one that Rainer talks about, but did modify it to not take effect for iPhones at the request of one of my most loyal readers.
