I also enjoyed games like Dig-Dug (PC) and Defender (Atari), as well as Missile Command (Atari) and countless games on the NES (Mega Man, Rygar, Contra, Battletoads, Double Dragon, Duck Hunt). I don't play any of those games anymore though. I feel old now. When you talk of older video games, I'm thinking of the Atari 2600. Pac-Man. Baseball, with little stick figures. Bowling. Or, early computer games like Lode Runner, Dig Dug. Or even earlier with Star Trek where your ship was the letter "E". Klingons were K's, of course. I also had a handheld game, Defender. And a handheld helicopter game too.
