we went just as they were opening, and it was interesting, but the food was not yet in. We thought it was, so we went hungry...BAD IDEA. There's only so many sacks of kettle corn a person can eat! lol.
We're looking for pokemon cards for our son...do you think this is a good place to find them for a good price?

The Night Market is usually open rain or shine. If you want to skip the crowds, going under less than pleasant weather might not be a bad idea.

Nick: There is no admission fee. Regarding parking at the other lots, I'm pretty sure they'd know, because those stores are typically not open in the evenings. There have been instances where the cars have been towed. It's possible that the security guards are watching where people are walking to after they park their cars too. I didn't buy anything there other than some food. Regarding a giveaway for stuff from Taiwan, I have that planned for July. Stay tuned!

Betshopboy: I didn't have a chance to go to a night market in Taipei, though that's definitely in the plans for next year's Computex. I did go to a Hong Kong night market last year and I found the HK one to be much more crowded with less food and more fake merchandise. Naturally, the prices are a lot lower in Hong Kong too.

Since you were in Taipei not so long ago, how different or similar is the Summer Night Market compared to the night markets in Taipei?

Looks like a decent time...is there an admission fee? (not that I'm anywhere near close enough to go)

Now, how would anyone know if you are really at Home Depot, Future Shop, or IKEA or not if you park in their lots?

Second question...did you buy any cool stuff for cheap to give away here on BTR? Oh, that remids me: We still have been able to get free stuff that you picked up at Computex :D
