Dot Com Pho – Director Battle Continues

June 22nd, 2008 by Michael Kwan

I guess last week’s competition didn’t really sort things out quite as well as we had hoped, so you are getting treated once again to a double dose of Dot Com Pho.

We’ve had some lunch gatherings in the past that were attended by over 20 people, but this week’s meetup was not nearly as large. I guess some people are too busy being tourists in their own town or something.

One of the appeals of coming to Dot Com Pho is that you are able to get some free publicity. Not only did my half price review special get mentioned in a recent speedlinking post on John Chow dot Com, it also get some airtime in both versions of our video-ified lunch. Better still, newfound Dot Com Pho regular Ray got himself a special present too.

Anyhow, here are the two takes on Dot Com Pho. Stephen‘s is first and John‘s is second. Keep those comments coming and we may finally be able to decide who gets to run the video production full-time. Who will be the iron dot com pho director? Whose video will reign supreme?

John’s video has way too much John in it. Let’s face it, people…it’s the rest of the Dot Com Pho crew that really make the videos awesome. John gives us credibility…sort of.

Well, as much credibility as a man who once asked if he should tuck a t-shirt into his shorts can have, really.

Is the double dose of Dot Com Pho videos a ploy to make us see double since the turnout this week wasn’t as large as before?

I just wonder the actual number of visitors of that site.

I have to say Stephen. I think your input in terms of time and production value makes the video worth the wait for me.

    5. Nick says:

Stephen’s video does seem a bit more “polished” but I didn’t catch any reference to myself in his and it was there in John’s…..
