[...] Going back to the fountain with a thimble, you discover that your thimble is overflowing with liquid refreshment. You were barely expecting to fill that thimble and now you have more than you could have ever imagined. By contrast, if you approached the fountain with a five-gallon jug, fully expecting to fill that thing to the brim, and then you only manage to fill it half way, you could walk away disappointed. You expected the world and only got half of it. Lowered expectations could lead to greater happiness. [...]

I would rather be balanced and confused than narrow-minded and ignorant. If you have multiple views on a subject it can lead to a better more informed decision. If you can see something wrong with buying something you probably don't need it.

But then again thats just my opinion.

This is so true. Oddly enough, it didn't really click with me until I saw an episode of The Sopranos where Tony says, "A wrong decision is better than indecision."

If even the worst-case consequences aren't all that bad, why spend so much time going back and forth?

I totally agree with being narrow minded! Sure there are some downsides to it, but when you open your mind too much, everything and anything is a possibility and you start to question who you are as one self. Sticking to one ideal is best, both in bussiness and personal life. Once you lose your focus it's hard to get back on track! It's fine to open your mind to expand and look for new ideas. Just do it one at a time, and don't get lost witin the dreams. (sorry for the rant, lol)

I guess I'm not narrow-minded enough, because I quite often question whether or not I should have made a given purchase :)
