I've been talking some with other writers lately about this very thing. Freelance writing is a great way to earn a living - but you can only write SO much. And you're still trading time for money. 

Because freelance writers already know how to produce content, they've got a great leg-up in the info marketing biz. Of course, it's not a get rich quick deal, and it takes some learning - but it's a wonderful way to eventually earn a steady passive income.
