I bought the domain a couple of months ago on a whim, but I haven’t really gotten around to doing anything with the site other than installing WordPress. The expectation was that no one would really know about the website until I got my act together and actually starting to put in some work with DotComPho.com. And then, John Chow spills the beans without telling me. Oh well.

You may have seen the post on John’s blog yesterday: Flipping for the Flip at Dot Com Pho. As you may or may not know, I get together with a few other bloggers and Internet marketers in the Vancouver area every Saturday for lunch, discussing whatever comes to mind. John Chow says that the original idea was to talk about how to make money online and so on, but we inevitably veer off topic, discussing Full House and beautiful girls instead.

Anyways, I guess the word is now out about DotComPho.com, so the site is definitely going to need some work. We have asked Nate Whitehill from Unique Blog Designs to create a header image (thanks in part to Twitter), but the blog still needs a WordPress theme. Lots of brownie points for anyone who can find a suitable WordPress template for the site, because the default theme is, well, pretty ugly. I’d also like to convert our weekly videos into a weekly video podcast, so if someone has good instructions on how to do that with Windows and WordPress, that’d be helpful too.

On a side note, anyone is welcome to join us for our dot com pho lunches, but it’s probably a good idea to let one of us know that you’re coming so that we know how many seats to hold.
