April Fool’s Day Gag on Digg is Lame

April 1st, 2008 by Michael Kwan

Seriously? As you know, today is April Fool’s Day, so you should be taking all sorts of “breaking news” with a huge bucket of salt. Over at Digg.com, it seems like what they’re doing is replacing the Digg count with a funky symbol (as shown above). That’s just lame, even though it’s not as cruel as getting Rick Rolled.

In case you’re curious, the Digg story I have pictured is a report saying that John Chow is a Google Android, not to be confused with the upcoming smartphone platform. It’s actually a pretty cute story. It’s almost as good as a story about getting hired by a major American newspaper. Almost.
