Perhaps the biggest appeal to reading blogs is that all the content comes at a price of free. You can subscribe to popular blogs like John Chow dot Com, Shoemoney, and Problogger and it doesn’t cost you a penny to gain access to their tips, advice, and expertise. From affiliate marketing to search engine optimization, there’s a good chance that you’ll find something useful in there for free.

To further supplement your sources of free information, I’ve come across a bunch of special deals wherein you can subscribe to some top trade magazines for free. For people who are interested in making money from a website — this could be anything from a freelance writing business to pursuing a career as a pro blogger — there is the appropriately named Website Magazine.

According to their about page:

By providing a broad scope of informative articles about sound, proven Internet business practices and emerging trends, Website Magazine will help website owners develop, design, maintain and promote their online endeavor more efficiently and effectively

You may not be able to develop a multi-million dollar website empire from reading Website Magazine, but they can probably point you in the right direction. They’ve got articles on just about everything to do with running a successful website, including advertising, website development, and site usability. And hey, you can’t beat the price of free. Just fill out this short application form. I’d subscribe myself, but the free subscriptions are restricted only to residents of the United States.

If Website Magazine isn’t your cup of tea, you can browse through the other free magazine subscriptions for another publication. Profit Magazine looks pretty good too.
