Perhaps second only to fighting games, shooting games are among my favorite genre of video games. Growing up, I couldn’t help but empty a roll of quarters at the video arcade, dumping them into the machines of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, but also classics like Virtua Cop and the gem that you see above, Terminator 2: The Arcade Game.
The movie itself is already among my all-time favorites. There are far too many quotes in there that will be forever remembered as being cinema classics. I’ll be back. Come with me if you want to live. I’m a cybernetic organism. Hasta la vista, baby. Gems, absolute gems. And the video game was equally awesome. I even got the Game Boy version and that was, well, not as cool as the arcade version. Who could forget the shaking machine gun?

The cool thing is games today now actually look better than the cover images on the games they had when I was a kid.
